Tea with Riders to the Sea and Some Silly Acts for Thee
Tea with Riders to the Sea and Some Silly Acts for Thee comes to the Bembridge House this September.
Come drink the tea and immerse yourself in three one-act plays that weave together the generations of a single Victorian home through the lives of three very different families. At times it is a wake, at others a comedy, carrying you through uncharted waters of love, loss, inheritance, and grief before turning the next saucer with unexpected laughter. Join us to discover who may be touched—body and soul.
Our Thursday evening performances feature a relaxed tea experience with unlimited hot tea, freshly brewed coffee, and a generous self-serve buffet of sweet and savory refreshments. Enjoy the first act beneath the trees on the front porch before moving inside the historic Bembridge House for a funeral reception unlike any other. The evening concludes in the back garden with the final act—and a special surprise.
